Harmonic joint module is a highly integrated mechatronic drive unit, composed of harmonic reducer, servo motor, encoder, torque sensor and control system, mainly used as the core motion joint of robots (especially humanoid robots and collaborative robotic arms). Its core function is to convert electrical energy into precise mechanical movements, enabling high-precision position control, torque output, and dynamic response.
 
2. Core components and technical principles

Harmonic reducer

Composition: It is composed of a wave generator, a flexible wheel and a rigid wheel, and realizes tooth meshing transmission through the elastic deformation of the flexible wheel.

Principle: The wave generator input rotates at high speed, the flexible wheel periodically deforms and engages with the rigid wheel, and outputs low-speed and high-torque movement, with a transmission ratio of 1:30 to 1:160.

Technological breakthroughs:

Ultra-thin flexible wheels: Thickness down to millimeters, life of more than 10,000 hours.

Zero backlash design: Eliminate transmission error and improve movement smoothness.

Drive and sensing systems
