HMHG-II-E Series Harmonic Reducer


The HMGH-II-E series harmonic reducer features a compact machine structure with an integral cam connecting the input shaft to the inner hole of the wave generator. It offers the flexibility of both rigid and flexible wheel end output connection modes. Available in production specifications ranging from 14 to 40, this series is ideal for applications in aerospace, robotics, semiconductors, power inspection, and automation equipment.



Principle of Harmonic Gear Transmission


The harmonic gear drive, invented by C.W. Musser in 1955, utilizes the elastic deformation of flexible components for movement and power transmission. By breaking away from traditional rigid component transmissions, this drive achieves unique functions. The deformation process of the flexible component is symmetrical and harmonic, hence the name "harmonic drive."



Harmonic Deceleration Principle


The deceleration principle of harmonic gear transmission involves the controlled elastic deformation of the flexwheel, rigid wheel, and wave generator to achieve motion and power transmission. Through the rotation of the elliptic CAM in the wave generator, the flexwheel deforms, enabling continuous movement transmission from the active wave generator to the flexwheel.
